Problem:

• The leading edges are exposed to severe expansion/contraction forces,
extreme temperature variations and highly abrasive environments.

• Other coatings failed in as little as 10-12 flight hours.

• Maintenance touch-up painting consumed valuable manhours.

Solution:

The Air Force and Air National Guard are coating F-15 and F-16 leading edges with CeRam-Kote 54 and are experiencing long-term documented success (in excess of 1-6 years) without repair to the coating.
