Hydril needed a high performance coating system that would perform in the field, yet allow for a fast and simple application in the plant.

CeRam-Kote 54®'s one-coat, two-pass system was selected for its ease of application. Its low VOC levels made it an excellent coating for in-house application.

Hydril is now coating surface drilling equipment such as annular blowout preventers, cable reel units and accessory equipment with CeRam-Kote 54® for superior anti-corrosion protection. They are also using CeRam-Kote 54® on Hydril subsea equipment.
